LEAD IN LIPSTICK?

"1,4 dioxane in baby soap? Coal tar in shampoo? How is this possible? Simple. The $35 billion cosmetics industry is so powerful they have kept themselves unregulated for decades.

In 2000, the US Centers for Disease Control reported American women had a higher "body burden" of phthalates, a set of industrial chemicals linked to birth defects and infertility. Suspicions about repeated exposure to the chemicals from cosmetics unearthed some disturbing discoveries." (from the book, Not Just a Pretty Face by Stacy Malkan)

Is it just my imagination or do more women suffer from autoimmune diseases such as, Fibromyalgia and immune dysfunction syndromes such as, Chronic Fatigue? How about the epidemic of autism and ADD/ADHD in our children? Men--have you checked your shaving cream lately...? Does it contain PROPANE?! Yes--PROPANE! Many of them do. Following are some signs of a toxic body:

Fatigue / lack of energy
Overweight / underweight
Digestive problems (gas, ulcers, heartburn, IBS)
Irregularity (constipation / diarrhea)
Cravings or addictions
Headaches
Mood swings, anxiety, depression, irritability
Allergies, hayfever, asthma
Low resistance to illness and infection
Skin disorders
Smoking

Wake up America--"the skin is the largest organ in the body with the capability to absorb everything, so how is it possible that our skin products continue to go unregulated by the FDA? Shame on them for neglecting the American people in this way." --Fran Drescher, actress, author and cancer survivor
